Summary

The Financial Systems Specialist supports APCO’s continued growth strategy by focusing on the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. This position involves a deep understanding of both the technical and business aspects of the organization, ensuring that ERP systems are tailored to effectively enhance operational efficiency, streamline business processes, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand, map and analyze business processes to the existing ERP system’s functionalities, identifying gaps and proposing solutions to optimize operations.
  • Customize, develop and implement additional functionalities within the existing ERP systems to meet unique business needs, using programming languages and tools specific to the ERP platform.
  • Manage ERP system data, including data migration, data integrity checks, and troubleshooting data-related issues.
  • Coordinate with ERP vendors for technical support, system upgrades, and resolving issues that cannot be handled in-house.
  • Conduct audits to assess the ERP system’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring the system continues to meet business objectives.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to the Dynamics 365 F&O platform. Establish Proactive Monitoring mechanism to identify and prevent issues prior to occurrence. 
  • Partner with IT to oversee and support system upgrades. 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed solutions and configurations.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Dynamics 365 F&O and X .
  • Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements
  • Remain informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies and keeps skills current on modern technologies and tools
  • Implement and maintain integrations with other internal and external systems.
  • Train end-users on how to effectively use the ERP system, creating user manuals and training materials tailored to different user roles.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, including updates and patches, to ensure the ERP system runs smoothly and securely.
  • Assist with Accounting processes redesign and development.
  • Assist with other special projects as needed.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5 years technical experience in Dynamics 365 F&O Implementation, Administration and Configuration. Similar experience with NetSuite preferred. 
  • Proven experience developing Dynamics 365 and Power Apps solutions, with a strong understanding of Dynamics 365 F&O and Power Apps platform architecture, development and customization. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and source control management systems.
  • Proven experience in ERP architecture and system integration.
  • Experience managing/leading teams both on and offshore.
  • Experience in ERP QA and rollout testing.
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft 365 Products, Apps and Services required. Microsoft Dynamics D365 certification a plus. 
  • Experience with project management and agile development methodologies. 
  • F&I industry experience a plus.
