Service Advisor to Service Manager

A high volume western suburban import dealer is looking for that service advisor who has at least 4 to 5 years of service writing experience and is ready to take the next step to a management position.
Job Description:
Assist, train, motivate, counsel and monitor all service advisor staff/service drive processes.
Maintain customer service satisfaction index rating above that of the manufacturer and or dealership goal.
Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect the service operations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right to know act and safety compliance.
Must be available to work Saturdays
Spends 70% of day assisting service advisors on service drive.
Promotes service sales through communication of information to guests on maintenance and repair needs that are identified during the service appointment process.
Carefully inspect all finished repair orders for proper completion, pricing accuracy and legibility.
Remain continuously posted on the shop’s workload to determine the kind of work the shop can quickly accommodate.
Collects the total retail charges from guests in cash, check authorized charge accounts.
Close and finalize all repair orders for which funds have been received in computer system and reconciles with cash draw.
Position is 100% on site
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Four to five years of experience as an auto service advisor/manager/assistant manager role with successful track record
Previous industry knowledge of overall dealership operations, management and wholesale relations
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient time management and organization skills
Must be self-motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team
Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues
Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize
Must have valid driver’s license
Ability to drive manual transmission
Demonstrated strong customer service skills
