Job Title: Payroll Project Analyst II

Location: Detroit, MI 48226

Contract Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)

Required Skills:

• Report Writing/Analysis, Auditing/Reconciliations, Customer Focused
• Desired Skills: Knowledge of Workday or equivalent Payroll Software, Payroll Tax Compliance, Can Work and Learn in fast paced environment;

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A customer focused employee to serve our customers (employee’s) in any pay issues our customers have through our HR Ticketing system.
• A Critical thinker who looks for ways to solve problems or to look for more efficient ways of conducting payroll business
• A person who also can look at the overall picture of paying an employee to filing payroll taxes the company need to remit to keep up with compliance across all the government jurisdictions across the US and Canada;

Preferred Industry Experience:

• One or more years of experience in a payroll department concentrating on data input and accuracy while solving employee pay issues while looking for ways to improve the efficiencies and accuracy of the payroll department in order to properly pay the employee correctly every time;

Tools or Technologies: ADP Smart Compliance, Workday, Service Now (Or Other Ticketing system knowledge); Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a payroll position;

Work Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in office 2 days remote

Job Description:

• The Analyst supports the audit and management of third party managed tax activities to ensure timely, accurate and compliant data management.

• 1 years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-company, multi-state environment
• AS or BS degree in accounting, finance, or related area
• Experience with tax deposit and filing required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Creative problem solver
• Query and report writer experience desired
• Workday payroll experience highly preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Strong critical thinking, customer service and responsiveness skills required
