Full Time, In-office Position, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMLocated close to the Halcyon and Windward Pkwy in Alpharetta, GA

Avalon Services Group is a nationwide provider of bilingual staffing and recruiting for warehouses, distribution centers, and light manufacturers. We specialize in general, technical, and certified labor for manufacturing, production, warehousing, and distribution centers.
We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) HR Specialist to join our corporate office as our internal recruiter to research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies for our clients. This role provides an opportunity to do direct placements and provide other recruiting support.
The ideal candidate will have solid recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding experience. If you enjoy meeting new people and helping them find great careers, then this would be a great fit.

  • Conducts intake meetings with clients to understand the specifications of an open job requisition.
  • Creates and manages job descriptions.
  • Publishes job ads on career pages, job boards, company internet, and social media.
  • Develops new strategies and programs to attract candidates.
  • Manages the applicant tracking system.
  • Designs interview questions in alignment with each unique job requisition.
  • Conducts initial phone and first level interviews and assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers and clients.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or clients to fill open vacancies.
  • Attends and participates in employment fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Conduct employment and education verification, language assessments, and other pre-employment screenings using outside vendors.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Required Skills And Abilities
  • Conversational Spanish is required to work with Spanish-speaking candidates. Qualified candidates will be required to pass a Language Assessment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience as a recruiter or in a human resource role with heavy recruiting responsibilities.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proven participation in HR/Recruiting seminars, conferences, and/or certification programs to acquire the knowledge of employment laws that impact the recruiting and selection process.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking software (ATS), LinkedIn, and Indeed.
  • SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
