We are offering a FREE class to become a Certified Nursing Assistant

Starting May 27th 2024

The first portion of the class is remote and you do it on your computer at home. This classroom portion starts every six weeks, and classes are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, every week for the first 5 weeks, from 8 : 00 a.

m. to 1 : 00 pm. You can not miss more than 2 classes. We do not offer different days or times, those are the class times for the group.

Once you have finished your five weeks of classroom / remote time, then you do your clinicals onsite at 2717 Dexter Ave N, Seattle WA 98109.

You do that for a couple of weeks to practice the skills you have learned with our patients! You are assigned a mentor to be with you during your training.

Once you have finished your classroom and clinical trainings, you'll be eligible to sit for your test with DSHS / Department of Health and get your Certification as a Nursing Assistant.

We can hire you while you are waiting for your test and / or license! The starting pay is $22.50 and you'll go up in pay every year and as you learn and do more and become a successful C.N.A.

This is a great startto become a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington and is also a wonderful step to becoming a licensed nurse.

Avamere offers tuition reimbursementfor Nursing School after one year of full-time employment.

You Will Learn To :

• Check each resident routinely to ensure that his / her personal care needs are being met in accordance with his / her wishes.
• Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident's daily care routine have been made on the care plan.
• Inform the Nurse Supervisor of any changes in the resident's condition so that appropriate information can be entered on the resident's care plan.
• Assist resident's with daily needs, including preparation for activity and social programs, and transporting residents to / from appointments.
• Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment.
• Ensure that resident's rooms are ready for receiving and make residents comfortable.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies

Requirements :

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurses, Director of Nursing and / or Administrator.
