AvantGarde, LLC (AG) seeks to engage a Business Analyst who will provide the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) ISD contracting officer representatives (COR) with acquisition support. The Analysts work collaboratively with the government on all aspects of supporting the COR from pre-solicitation to post-award activities; and assists the team in a multitude of ways from supporting CORs to gathering data calls and reports and managing and updating databases.
The WORK
- Conduct research, analyze, and support acquisition management activities for the government.
- Coordinate data calls and audits working with multiple stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings and financial reviews.
- Prepare reports on acquisition activities.
- Update the acquisition database.
- Develop and maintain dashboards.
- Update financial databases and financial reports.
- Train new government and contractor users on a wide range of topics.
- Maintain and update SharePoint pages and repositories within SharePoint.
- Prepare documentation on behalf of CORs for onboarding and offboarding.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders across the mission area.
- Prepare and QA deliverable work products that meet the AG standards prior to delivery.
- Provide open communication with government personnel and the team.
- Perform other duties as required.

Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) is the US Department of Agriculture’s focal point for the nation’s farmers and ranchers and other stewards of private agricultural lands and non-industrial private forest lands. FPAC agencies implement programs designed to mitigate the significant risks of farming through crop insurance services, conservation programs and technical assistance, and commodity, lending, and disaster programs. Within FPAC, the Information Solutions Division (ISD) Business Operations Branch (BOB) IT Acquisition Section (ITAS) supports the acquisition of IT services for FPAC ISD-related programs. With an IT budget exceeding $800M annually, this team supports the ITAS in (1) making timely, correct, and complete program decisions and implementing uniform acquisition planning; and (2) implementing practices that enhance transparency and reduce risks in implementing IT programs, complying with reporting requirements.
