Avantor is Hiring a Warehouse Operations, Supervisor I Near Buford, GA
What we’re looking for :Education: Associate’s degree in Business Management, Industrial Management or related field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management in a manufacturing environment required
Industrial Powered Equipment Experience PreferredQualifications:
- Strong customer orientation
- Ability to evaluate internal customer needs and respond with appropriate action/delivery
- Working knowledge of inventory managements systems
- Prioritizes and coordinates department workflow to optimize customer service levels.
- Monitors activity demands and proactively plans for future resource and facility requirements.
- Trains, motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of Warehouse Associates in conformance to policies and procedures (SOP’s, Work Instructions).
- Ensures safe operating of material handling equipment.
- Monitors the receipt of all materials into the receiving department, ensures materials are sampled and stored in an efficient manner.
- Plans for product shipments to achieve customer delivery dates.
- Ensures all activities are performed in accordance to written procedures, ISO9001 and cGMP’s.
- Investigates failure modes and implements corrective/preventive actions accordingly.
- Ensures inventory is properly decremented in computer system.
- Leads the site cycle count program.
- Resolves discrepancies with appropriate personnel regarding invoices, packing slips, and receipts.
- Oversees the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Performs work functions as required by business demand including; receiving, repackaging and shipping of final product.
- Works in partnership with the Production Planner and internal associates to insure customer needs are met in a timely manner.
- Maintains neat and orderly work areas including all packaging rooms and warehouse areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
