Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Metrology Technician to join our team. As a Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our measurement equipment and processes. This is a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards of our organization. Duties:
Perform calibration, adjustment, and maintenance of precision measuring instruments
Conduct inspections and measurements using various tools and equipment
Analyze measurement data and identify any deviations or discrepancies
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues
Develop and implement calibration procedures and protocols
Maintain accurate documentation of calibration activities and results
Assist in the development and improvement of metrology systems and processes
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of CNC machines, electrical systems, and industrial maintenance
Experience with distributed control systems (DCS) and logic controllers
Ability to fabricate or modify fixtures for measurement purposes
Proficiency in using AutoCAD or similar software for creating technical drawings
Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect and resolve measurement issues
Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and their proper usage
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or education is a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Metrology Technician or in a related field
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Laboratory Skills and Analytical Skills
Experience in Calibration and Measurements
Quality Control skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in the laboratory industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field
