Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial matters.
- Draft and edit a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, and discovery requests/responses.
- Manage all aspects of pre-trial discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document requests.
- Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain excellent client communication and keep them informed of case developments.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation at a law firm.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive legal arguments.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Experience with case management software and legal research databases.
- Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
