- Assist the DON in managing the nursing department and with regulatory compliance and ensure effective communication strategies with all levels of nursing staff to promote effective care delivery.
- Maintain quality standards of care, including consultation to medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.
- Provide input into interpretation of nursing philosophy and assists in establishing departmental goals and objectives.
- Promote positive employee relations, strong customer service ethic and commitment to ongoing staff education and training. May exercise direction over the nursing department.
- Ensure Integrity of educational nursing programs offered within the facility.
- Staff Development - Identify current nursing employees to be mentored into both personal and career advancement towards leadership position within the corporation
- Takes place of DON in case of absence. This includes on-call nursing responsibilities, nurse staffing requirement responsibilities, and director of nursing duties.
- At least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.
- Currently licensed as RN in state of Ohio.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- A minimum of one year of long-term or acute health care experience preferred.
