Aventure Staffing and Professional Services is Hiring a District Manager Near Sioux, IA

Job DescriptionDistrict Manager$65k to $75k per year with potential for commission.Relocation assistance may be provided.A world-class engineering firm is hiring for their next District Manager. If you are a strategic thinker who is driven and eager to learn, then this is a great opportunity! The District Manager is a “working” manager position. You will be running a stand-alone business division to include sales, operations and business functions. It will be support by and fall under oversight of the Western Territory office, but will have a tremendous amount of autonomy running a small business.
Responsibilities
  • Territory Sales Plan and Execution. Manage multi-state territory - North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri
  • Travel to customer sites 80%
  • Directly supervise team
  • Job Quoting, Planning, Execution and Follow-Up
  • Sales and Gross Margin Performance
  • Facility and Equipment Management
  • Oversee mechanical maintenance, rework construction, retrofit and installation of industrial dryer, kilns and ball mills
Requirements
  • High school or GED required.
  • Engineering background a plus but not required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in either the engineering consulting or construction trade.
  • Must live within the area managed.
  • Strategic sales logic comprehension
  • Mathematics comprehension
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
Compensation And Benefits
  • $65k-75k/year with potential for commission. Pay rate based on experience and skills.
  • Job travel expenses, including hotel and per diem, are paid by company.
