Avera is looking for a Biomedical Engineering Technician (Non-Certified) to join our Team!

Job Summary

Repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, instrumentation, and support systems of simple to moderate complexity used in healthcare delivery.

Inspect, install, and perform inventory assessments and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.

Assist medical and nursing staff in the use of equipment.

Maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed on biomedical equipment.

Education and/or Experience

Associates degree or military equivalent in electronic or biomedical equipment technology preferred.

Minimum of two years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

ICC certification is preferred.

If performing position from an IA based facility the following is required:

Completion of Child & Dependent Adult Abuse for Iowa Mandatory Reporters course within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$24.75 - $37.00 per hour
