Job Summary
- The Scheduling Secretary position involves varying degrees of scheduling, case logging, computer entry, phone answering, order and charge entry, patient, staff, and physician communication, information retrieval, and a general ability to function as a traffic controller in the primary operative services office.
- Provides accurate and timely registration of all patient verifications of insurance benefits.
- Provides patient/family with information on hospital charges, payment options and insurance coverages.
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Business background preferred.
- One year of medical secretarial school preferred.
- Two or more years of secretarial experience in a similar work environment preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
