Job Summary
- The Hospice Chaplin provides spiritual care, counseling and guidance to Hospice patients, their families, and the Hospice team.
- The chaplain assists persons to understand more fully life’s events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well-being.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the populations served by Avera@Home.
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s degree in Theology, Pastoral Care or related field preferred.
- One to two years related experience and/or training in hospice ministry preferred.
- Knowledge of and appreciation for the Christian witness inherent in the philosophy of the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Services.
- Two units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certification by National Accreditation Body (ACPE, APC, NACC) preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 48hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $21.50 - $32.50 per hour
