Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for operating radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians. May perform invasive diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- ARRT (R) registered required. Additional coursework/training in Mammography preferred.
- Required to work toward and complete certification in Mammography within one year of hire date.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter depending upon job assignment.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday 700-1700, Occasional Thursdays 700-1800, occasional Saturdays 745-1130; 72hrs/2wks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $28.75 - $43.50 per hour
