Job Summary

The Scientific Research Associate has an important role in providing research support to the scientific team and scientists at Avera Research Institute. This individual will work with principal investigators under general direction to perform professional-level medical or scientific research tasks related to a particular or specialized field of endeavor. These scientific activities including writing literature reviews; contributing to scientific articles, reports and presentations; preparing materials for submission to agencies or boards; summarizing project results; and project implementation and management. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and collegiality.

Education and/or Experience

• Master’s degree in a health or social science-related field from a university required.
• Experience with scientific writing and/or conducting literature reviews required.
• Experience with reference management software preferred (i.e., EndNote).
• Experience with research project management and report generation preferred.
• Must be proficient with computer software including, but not limited to; Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• 80 hours per 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $25.00 - $37.75 per hour
