Job Summary

• The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for reviewing hospital accounts for potential payment opportunities including identification of available insurance and/or assistance programs including Medicaid, Crime Victim's Compensation, VA, IHS, etc.
• Responsible for identifying, and documenting opportunities for improved registration accuracy for the purpose of reducing of claim denials, increasing efficiency, and improving work methods.
• Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits coverage as well as updating account information accurately to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize reimbursement when multiple payers are available.

Education and/or Experience

• HS Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's Degree in finance, healthcare business, or social work preferred.
• One to two years related experience in billing, insurance or registration preferred.

Work Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $19.25 - $24.25 per hour
