Job Description Dedicated drivers enjoy the many privileges that come with having consistent customers. Unlike some driver positions, this one gives you a better idea of the number of miles and hours each week holds, which means you'll have a better idea of what to expect in every paycheck. And because you know your customers and their typical freight load, you'll never be surprised or slowed down by unusual shipments.
Competitive pay:
Average $1,614 per week/$83,928 per year
Starting pay .64 cpm
Average of 2,000 - 2,200 miles per week
Stop pay is $26 per stop
Average 10 stops per week
Breakdown, layover & detention pay available
Company sponsored per diem program
Weekly home time
Most loads are turnable & will get you back to the DC three days/nights out of five
Some loads will require you to layover (average1-2 days per week), based upon HOS
Schedule is Sunday-Thursday. Periodic weekends are required. Schedule may change at customer's request
Schedule will change if there is holiday volume or inclement weather that causes loads to be pushed out. In these instances, everyone is required to work on an as needed basis to include weekends
Store deliveries are 9 a.m.- 8 p.m. Periodically a store may request an earlier delivery.
Dispatch times will vary between 6 a.m.-6 p.m.; determined by delivery time / length of haul
Late model sleepers - some routes require overnight layovers (ex- South TX)
Pick up pre-loaded trailers at the customers distribution center in Dallas, TX and deliver to retail locations
Coverage area includes TX, OK, LA and AR
Pallet unload, no breakdown (electric pallet jack provided)
Unloading palletized freight at store locations required; dock height or liftgate, electric pallet jacks provided
Pickup return merchandise and/or vendor freight and return to distribution center in Dallas, TX
May be asked to p/u a backhaul, per customer request.
May be asked to serve as a temporary switcher, in an emergency

Must live within a 100-mile radius
Must have 1 year ofverifiable tractor-trailer experiencewithin the past 3 years, including at least 6 months' OTR experience
Must have Class A CDL
No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
No convictions for DUI within the past 5 years
No suspensions or revocations within the last 5 years
No serious violations within previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too close, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with fatality)
No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years
Essential functions:
Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
Count freight
Complete fuel tickets
Obtain sales leads
Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
Perform pre-trip inspections
Drive
Regular predictable attendance
Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
