JOB OVERVIEW

The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading an operational team of security screening agents to deliver excellent and safe service for the operation at the American Airlines Terminal while ensuring compliance with operational and security standards and procedures, American Airlines Corporate Compliance Security Guidelines, Transportation Security Administration, Miami Dade Aviation Security, Customs and Border Protection and adherence to contractual obligations, ensure the services are performed to corporate, client and regulatory agency standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to:

• Supervisor Management Services to include, among others: American Airlines employees, visitors and vendors for airport security
• Guarantees the delivery of the service to the airline in accordance with the contracts and within the agreed budget level.
• Ensures that security and protection procedures comply with the standards set out in the Security and Training Manual.
• Liaisons with the managers of the service stations, airport operations managers, management agents, Customs, Immigration and Security officials and other interested parties of the airport.
• Monitors performance of security force and takes measures to correct any deficit.
• Guarantees immediate notification to Manager of any audit.
• Provide guidance and leadership to the team.
• Investigates and reports all accidents, incidents and irregularities.
• Guarantees the service in accordance with the contracts and within the agreed budget level.
• Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSE, and/or CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must have a valid Security D License
• Must have a valid Driver License
• All Security Officers must be U.S Citizen

EXPERIENCE and/or KNOWLEDGE

• Minimum 2 years or more of cargo and ground experience with proven leadership preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skill)

SKILL and/or ABILITIES

• Ability to speak and understand Spanish / English
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand the documented processes
• Ability to plan, organize and implement under a dynamic environment
• Excellent writing and communication skills including interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
• Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation and follow through
• Requires flexibility to work additional hours beyond the regular shift, on short notice, and as needed during irregular operations.
• Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge from the airport
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
