Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Payroll Clerk at Avicenna Accounting Inc. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for payroll preparation, processing, and management. They will also handle payroll taxes and assist with accounting tasks related to payroll. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Duties:

• Preparation of monthly sales taxes, and processing payments for each company.
• Preparation of weekly and/or bi-weekly payrolls.
• Preparation and submission of federal (EFTPS) and state withholding taxes
• Preparation of year end payroll, W-2's, W-3's, 1099, 1096 and any additional payroll form that needs to be submitted for the year end, and financial year processing.
• Preparing business registration and license renewal (BPOL).
• Communicate with clients on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Review financial statements before filing annual corporation taxes.
• Processing payroll on a timely manner and making sure that the client is informed.

Qualifications

• Payroll Services, Payroll Administration, and Payroll Management skills
• Experience with payroll taxes
• Strong background in accounting
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proficient in relevant payroll software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
