The Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our team in San Diego. This hands-on position is responsible for designing, synthesizing, and analyzing antibody oligonucleotide conjugates. The ideal candidate will have biotech/pharma experience in medicinal chemistry, bioconjugation, and nucleic acid therapeutics. The candidate is expected to be a strong team player who enjoys scientific discovery and can communicate and collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
What You Will Contribute

• Design, synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotides, linkers, and protein/peptide/antibody conjugates
• Implement lead optimization strategies to advance AOCs into development
• Preparation and communication of research results in both oral and written formats

What We Seek

• BS or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or related discipline with hands-on experience
• Experience in HPLC purification and analytical methods for proteins and oligonucleotides
• Previous experience in biotech/pharma is desirable
• Proven ability to conduct self-directed research and to work effectively in a dynamic environment with a diverse team of co-workers
• Solid written and oral communication skills, enthusiasm, integrity, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are necessary

What We Will Provide to You:

• The base salary range for this role is $66,000 - $80,000 ($31.73/hr. - $38.47/hr.) The final compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience, skillset, internal equity, and market factors.
