About the Associate Electronics & Repair Technician position

This position is designed for candidates with foundational knowledge from vocational or military training and provides on-the-job training and development opportunities.

Our Associate Electronics & Repair Technicians' responsibilities include :

  • Assisting with Inspection and Repair : Under supervision, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components, following FAA regulations and company procedures.
  • Learning Manufacturing Operations : Participate in tasks associated with electronic manufacturing operations including setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing for components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Documentation and Compliance : Help maintain detailed test, repair and maintenance records, ensuring compliance with FAA documentation requirements.
  • Calibration and Testing : Assist in performing product calibration, in-process testing, and final acceptance testing under guidance.
  • Team Collaboration : Work with engineering and other technical teams to understand and implement modifications and improvements.
  • Training and Development : Engage in training programs to build skills in tuning, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing analog and digital circuit boards.
  • Safety and Quality : Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to quality standards, and complying with repair station manuals, technical specifications, and other regulatory documents.
  • Completion of a vocational school program in electronics or related field, or equivalent military training.

Qualifications :

  • Basic understanding of electronic principles and components,
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Applied ability to tune, test, troubleshoot, and repair analog and digital circuit boards to component level.
  • Familiarity using standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, pulse generators, and logic analyzers.
  • Ability to handle tools and electronic components with precision as well as work in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderately complex issues.
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team and learn from more experienced technicians.
  • Ability to maintain a positive outlook with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed.

Education & Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent.

Other Desirable Experience :

  • Hands-on experience with electronics through internships, projects, or prior job roles
  • Certification or experience soldering to IPC-610 standards for surface mount and thru-hold technologies.
  • General knowledge of FAA regulations (FAR).
  • Pilot's license, flight training, or familiarity with general aviation.

All our Electronics & Repair Technician positions are considered safety-sensitive and subject to drug and alcohol testing under the regulations of the Department of Transportation (DOT).

This includes pre-employment testing, random testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return-to-duty testing, and follow-up testing.

Compliance with these regulations is mandatory for all employees in these roles to ensure the safety and security of our operations in accordance with federal and industry standards.
