We are searching for outstanding individuals with a unique mix of senior-based medical knowledge in a Skilled Nursing and Rehab setting and of course the love for seniors. Plus please be sure you like to have fun and laugh with one of the best “independent” management teams in the Phoenix Metro area.
This fun and exciting CCRC sits on 13 acres and is comprised of over 400 Units. This Phoenix property offers its residents the true continuum of care with Independent Living Apartments, Assisted Living Apartments, Memory Care Units and a 60 Bed 5-Star Skilled Unit.
Summary:
Under supervision, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides nursing assistance and aids residents with daily living activities.
In addition to the essential functions outlined herein, this position is considered to be a direct resident care role and therefore the incumbent shall meet and fulfill all applicable requirements as outlined in Arizona Administrative Code Title 9, Article 4: Nursing Care Institutions.
Essential Functions:
Supports the philosophy, mission, commitment, vision, and values of The Palazzo.
Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.
Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.
Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.
Assists residents with turning and positioning in bed.
Assists residents with ambulation for short distances in community.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
Performs other tasks as assigned.
Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in The Palazzo’s Code of Conduct, The Palazzo policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.
Documents information on flow sheets, as directed.
Attends interdisciplinary meetings, as needed, to provide input into selected resident’s plans of care.
Documents restorative services provided following community policies and procedures.
Reports to supervisor or designee on progress/lack of progress in achieving restorative goals.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members as well as community staff.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to organize and prioritize.
Requirements/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment is required.
Arizona Level One Fingerprint card
CPR/First Aid
Six months of experience in a long term care environment is preferred.
