Aviva Psychology Services is Hiring a Clinician/Intake coordinator Near Boston, MA
Job DescriptionAviva Psychology Services is an independent, psychologist-owned group practice with offices in downtown Boston and Northampton. We are a values-driven organization, and our mission is to transform adversity into growth to promote relational and emotional healing with those we serve. We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Massachusetts Master’s level licensed clinician (LICSW/LMHC) to join our flexible and supportive group practice. This is a 40-hour per week, salaried position with fully remote or hybrid options and a full benefit package. The position requires split time dedicated to both individual therapy and support of our intake department by conducting short phone screens to assess appropriateness of fit for new client inquiries.

Duties and Responsibilities:This position requires 17-20 individual client sessions weekly, as well as dedicated set hours during 9am-5pm for new client inquiries. More specifically, this position will have approximately 15 hours of dedicated availability per week to conduct brief 20-minute phone screens as needed for potential clients and facilitate fitting assignments to our clinicians. While the phone screen hours will be predetermined within 3 hour blocks each day, they may not always be used, and the 17-20 clinical hours can be scheduled flexibly according to your preferences.
Our ideal candidate is ethical, independent, passionate about clinical work, and dedicated to being part of our team over time. They will be able to effectively diagnose, treat, and assess risk with adults of diverse identities and backgrounds who present with a wide range of presenting concerns. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have outstanding clinical intuition, and feel confident making efficient decisions about clinical fit. We value feedback and collaboration, and this role includes support from the intake department, including the Clinical Director, Intake Coordinator, and administrative staff, as well as weekly staff meetings where you will have a chance to connect with our clinical team.

- Have an independent Massachusetts license (LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT).

- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to effectively manage a clinical caseload and consistently maintain 20 sessions weekly.
- Have excellent emotional maturity and interpersonal effectiveness skills, including the ability to be emotionally responsive and validating of any concerns or feelings that clients bring forth while also being clear and consistent with Aviva policies and limits.
- Have outstanding clinical intuition and the ability to integrate information efficiently to make quick and informed decisions to facilitate clinical fit based on client needs and clinicians’ interests/skills.
- Be energized by helping others on a team and contributing to the growth of Aviva.
- Be proactive and able to work independently on tasks assigned while seeking support as needed.
