Job Description: AVNIK has an immediate opportunity for an Engineering / Analyst III to support the CH-47 BLK II Cargo aircraft for the U.S. Army. Expertise with Maintenance and Logbook Data Collection is required. HS 11 yrs of experience or BS 6Yrs of Experience.

The candidate will be working as part of an engineering team providing analysis of data at various stages of the life cycle, such as Materiel Solution Analysis, Production & Deployment, etc Ability to identify, research, and analyze data sources/databases to define and extract critical information for engineering analysis. It is essential for the candidate to establish and maintain close relationships with internal USG personnel. Candidates must clearly express ideas and concepts, perform as part of a multi-disciplinary team/IPTs/Working Groups, and operate fluidly in a multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collect Army Aviation logbook and maintenance data and conduct analysis on U.S. Army CH-47 BLK II aircraft by researching maintenance and testing records to identify root causes of poor performing components and recommend corrective actions. Data analyzed will be used at various stages of the life cycle, such as Materiel Solution Analysis, Production & Deployment, etc.
• Support the database implementation by the scoring of Army Aviation field data, entering/integrating the data into various Army, DoD, and industry databases, conducting analyses of the data, and advancing technological capability. Perform site visit investigations on current Army operations and maintenance activities to various Army bases to confirm findings in the data.
• Must be able to perform complex calculations plus have knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assess systems concepts, specifications, and integration to include assessments of overall system impacts in evaluating proposed system changes (e.g., Engineering Change Proposals).
• May be required to attend workshops pertaining to system assessment to evaluate different methods of reliability assessment, and to perform site visit investigations on current Army operations and maintenance activities to various Army bases to confirm findings in the data.
• Manage workload across multiple projects/tasks and meet delivery schedules.

Education & Citizenship Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in STEP (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math), etc. or related technical field is required and 6 years of experience. Hight School (HS) 11 yrs of experience may be considered in lieu of education. Advanced degree is a plus. Candidate must be a US Citizen.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to successfully complete Background Investigation to include: 50 State Criminal, Education, Employment, Credit and Driving Records Checks for continued employment.
• Must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is Required.
