Awin Global is Hiring a Group Senior Director Sales (f/m/d) Near All, MO

Purpose of positionReporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, the Group Senior Director Sales will lead the New Business teams across all regions to deliver the group sales vision, exceed performance targets, and continually improve performance globally.
In this exciting new role, you will be working closely together with the global and regional Client Services leadership teams to align on sales strategy and implement processes to expand our current client base, while also providing guidance around commercial decisions and helping to set group-wide commercial policies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Directors / Heads of Sales across Europe and the Americas to ensure the expansion of our customer base across all regions. APAC to be reviewed after the appointment of the successful candidate
  • Foster alignment of best practices and information sharing across regions, supporting harmonisation into one sales organisation with global scope and regional/local expertise
  • Implement sales strategies in line with group sales vision, to achieve sales performance targets for the Group, key regions, and our different customer segments
  • Coach the Directors and wider team to develop and implement strategies for the effective targeting and acquisition of key clients/sectors based on market trends and company/division vision
  • Close partnership with regional leaders, to ensure well-focused sales activities which make the most of the various opportunities in our different markets
  • Close partnership with marketing and client service leadership to ensure full visibility of the customer journey from first marketing contact through to an enjoyable and profitable onboarding experience
  • Manage high-performing teams that enable predictable, ambitious and scalable revenue growth across all relevant customer sales lifecycle touchpoints
  • Manage the sales department budgets, targets and forecasts
  • Oversee recruitment, training, coaching and development of sales department staff
  • Maintain strong engagement score across the department
  • Monitor and communicate competitor activity and developments
  • Help to set sales targets for the group, and motivate your team to beat them
Skills & Expertise
  • 10 years’ relevant experience in commercial roles, with focus on new business development, in affiliate marketing, digital marketing, B2B marketplace or adjacent industries, ideally across multiple countries
  • Proven track record of successful client relationship building, including strong “hunting”, prospecting and closing skills
  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing commercial strategies, translating group-level goals into actions and sales KPIs, and enabling team leads to ensure successful execution
  • Significant team leadership experience and strong people management skills (including Senior managers) in an international environment, ideally with exposure to Senior remote teams
  • Relevant commercial experience across several verticals (such as retail, travel, telecoms, finance)
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and sales pipelining software
  • Ideally, a deep understanding of the digital marketing industry and how Affiliate Marketing fits within the context of the wider online marketing mix, including merchant programs, affiliate campaigns, analysis of key program stats and data
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and an ability to effectively interface with clients and stakeholders of various levels of seniority
  • Self-driven, and commercially savvy, with the ability to drive projects autonomously in a fast-paced international environment
  • Excellent computer literacy including advanced with the MS Office suite
  • Business fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
