Axelon Services Corporation is Hiring a Business Analyst/Project Manager Near Jersey, NJ
Global Financial Firm located in JERSEY CITY, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst/Project Manager "This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule.
You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work.
We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement.
Prime Finance Technology BA/PM
Client Prime Brokerage Technology sits within the Prime Finance area of Clients Markets Technology division and supports the Prime Finance business, using technological innovation to maintain competitive advantage in a constantly evolving market. Working closely with the business and internal technology teams, you would build-out and maintain our Prime Brokerage platforms across both the cash and synthetics set of products. You would manage complex projects that will involve everything from incorporating a new functionality within the existing ecosystem, to analyzing new requirements, documenting solutions, managing implementation and testing systems, ensuring that they are fit for purpose. You would regularly work with a range of high-profile stakeholders.
Responsibilities" Own business/ functional requirements and change requests, documenting solution and managing end to end project delivery
" Understand Business priorities and working as a liaison between Business and Development teams
" Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Banking, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
" Manage relationship with Business and take ownership for providing regular project updates to key business and technology stakeholders
" Communicate key project risks, define mitigation strategies and manage resolution
" Develop test strategies, document test scenarios and coordinate User Acceptance Testing across front to back tech stack
" Develop Project Plans and UAT Run-books
" Work with development and support teams to resolve production issues and identify root cause
" Proactively follows escalation and change control processes
" Owning management reports on a given engagement
Essential Skills" Relevant experience working in the financial industry
" Strong product level knowledge of Equity Swap products
" Good product level knowledge of Cash Prime Brokerage will be a bonus
" Understanding Trade Processing management and is highly desirable
" A proven track record of business analysis experience and strong familiarity with BA analysis techniques
" Strong investigation and data analysis skills with intermediate SQL skills
" Strong level of experience and familiarity with Agile, Scrum or Waterfall SDLC methodology
" Strong practical experience in analysis, design and project managing end to end delivery
" Excellent interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder expectations
" Strong team player attitude
" Strong desire to learn
" A proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques
" Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones
" Supports continuous improvement, learning opportunity, increasing predictability
" Demonstrated experience to fully utilise JIRA/Confluence capabilities
" Strong verbal / written communications skills
" Strong influencing and negotiation skills; ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships
EducationBachelors University degree or equivalent experience
