Axelon Services Corporation is Hiring an Instructional Designer Near Boston, MA

Position: Instructional Designer Location: Remote, EST time or ability to work EST hours.
Duration: 3 months.
Job Description: This role involves working with complex content and designing training for multiple delivery modalities, including traditional classroom, online classroom, and self-paced e-Learning modules. The candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, and a broad knowledge of instructional technologies. Proficiency in advanced e-Learning tools and the ability to augment regular functionality with custom programming is essential.
Responsibilities
  • Apply instructional design theory to create course content in collaboration with subject matter experts, management, trainers, and e-Learning specialists.
  • Develop complex e-Learning programs and applications using tools such as Storyline, Vyond, and WellSaid.
  • Independently create new training programs from scratch, conducting formal analyses of training needs as required.
  • Consult with managers and team members to develop training curricula, identify individual program goals, overall program objectives, and module objectives. Develop curriculum plans to support employee performance development over time.
  • Incorporate stakeholder input into learning design and roadmap, effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on business value.
  • Apply adult learning theory to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, audience location, and point within the learning process.
  • Design evaluation strategies and tools to measure program effectiveness and determine whether desired learning and performance outcomes are achieved.
  • Demonstrate collaborative skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills to convey ideas, issues, and designs to influence varied audiences.
  • Possess strong analytical, project management, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Present recommendations comfortably to relevant stakeholders
Required Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Instructional Design (ID), e-Learning, and video production.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Articulate, Adobe, Vyond, and Camtasia.
