The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Production Team Lead for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Portland, OR. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• Pay: $30 to $34hr (W2)
• Shift hours: 2nd and/or 3rd shift - Monday through Friday (Onsite).
  • 2nd - 2:00pm to 10:00pm - Monday through Friday.
  • 3rd - 10:00pm to 6:00am - Monday through Friday.
• 6 month assignment - temp-to-perm role.
• This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line shift leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site.
• Ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line.
• Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.
• Ensure that safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets are achieved for the lines for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets.
• Develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Required (Operations, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering and Food Science preferred). Military and Logistics experience is welcome.
• Preferred 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. Union labor management is a plus.
• Strong organizational and technical skills
• Preferred experience in Lean manufacturing and TPM. Continuous Improvement experience including Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis and Breakdown Elimination system.
• Proven leader with strong communication, time management, coaching, priority setting and change management skills.
• SAP Experience preferred.
• Food experience preferred.
• Union Experience preferred.
• Preferred work experience in production & material planning, demand planning, inventory management & handling, Line Operations, and/or Forecasting.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
