We are currently recruiting a Part-Time Ultrasound Technician to help us continue our tradition of delivering quality OB/GYN care at our location on the southside of Indianapolis at our South Care Center locations off Emerson and at Stones Crossing .
Job Description:
Provides ultrasound diagnostic services as directed by physicians including scheduling, patient care during procedure and communication with patients. The following schedule is required: Monday 8-4:30 South Emerson; Tuesday 8-4:30 Stones Crossing and Thursday 8-4:30 Stones Crossing.
Performs routine and diagnostic ultrasound images.
Interacts with physicians and other technical staff to provide quality, safe and efficient care for the patient.
Follows guidelines for probe handling and infection control.
Follows examination protocols under the guidance of the physicians on duty.
Oversees patient scheduling.
Explains procedures to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
Positions patients, selects appropriate transducers and machine settings.
Conducts scanning procedures.
Ensures maintenance on ultrasound equipment.
Orders and stocks all ultrasound supplies.
Maintains all ultrasound records, reports and files.
Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in handling all customer interactions.
Performs all other duties as may be assigned from time-to-time.
