Axient is Hiring an ICBM Codes and Cryptography Test Engineer Near Force, UT

Axient is seeking an ICBM Codes and Cryptography Test Engineer to support our customer in Hill AFB, UT. What You Will Do...This position is to provide technical advisory and assistance services to the ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (T&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Evaluate prime contractor’s implementation of cryptographic capabilities including hardware and software, and key and certificate management to meet weapon system requirements and national, DoD, and Air Force cybersecurity requirements.
  • Support developmental test & evaluation of the cryptography systems architecture to assess performance and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the program office and contractor to develop, review, and implement test plans.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through program acquisition phases.
  • Review requirements and analysis associated with codes and crypto devices and processes.
  • Represent the Sentinel CTF at test events as the designated test witness.
  • Author assessments of test outcomes to provide independent technical input to the AFNWC program office.
Skills You Will Need...
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain DoD security clearance
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity is preferred. Degrees in related fields will be considered.
  • Experience with type 1 encryption devices/standards, cryptographic capabilities, algorithms, and security services and their application in a National Security System.
  • Experience with ICBM weapon systems and specifically code systems, control concepts, and cryptographic devices in the weapon system is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with nuclear certification is highly desired.
  • Must be a self-starter with creative thinking and problem-solving capabilities, able to function within an ambiguous and dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • 4 years of relevant experience
