Axient is currently seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to support our customer at Hill AFB, Utah.What You Will Do...
Provide technical support to the Sentinel ICBM Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.
Participate in developing an integration evaluation/testing/capability framework tailored to each milestone of the acquisition lifecycle of the Sentinel weapon system.
Create and maintain system models using MBSE tools and methodologies; capturing system requirements, architecture, behavior, and relationships.
Perform analysis and simulations of systems models to verify requirements, system design, and identify deficiencies.
Generate documentation derived from system models, including system specifications, interface definitions, and design documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems and test engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure alignment of system models with project objectives and requirements.
Ensure the quality and integrity of system models by conducting reviews, audits, and validation activities, and by adhering to established modeling standards and best practices.
Design analysis tools and processes used to evaluate the weapon system.
Aid Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) capabilities and assessment to aid AFNWC in owning the technical baseline for Sentinel through use of high-fidelity system models.
Support the testing and integration of testing, modeling, and simulation solutions into decision support tools to provide decision makers with course of action options, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Support Sentinel development test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
Skills You Will Need...
Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the required level. An active and transferrable DoD security clearance with active investigation is highly desirable.
A BS in Engineering or other STEM field with years of experience in developing complex systems architectures in accordance with best practices of MBSE. MS in Systems Engineering is desirable.
Proficiency in Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) modeling language.
Committed to continuous learning of MBSE techniques, tools and practices.
Adaptable to changing project requirements, technologies and methodologies in a significantly dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of system models and documentation.
Able to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders, including scientists, engineers, program managers, and customers.
Experience modeling DoDAF compliant architectures is highly desired.
Proficiency using Cameo or MagicDraw.
Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers
Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is a plus.
Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is desired.
