Role: Sales Advisor/Consultant

Location: New York City, New York or Chicago, Illinois

Duration: 06 months

Job Duties Include but are not limited to the following:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Sales Advisor/Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the entire sales cycle for our Accounting and Billing solutions, specifically targeting insurance clients. You will be responsible for driving the go-to-market, initiating and managing sales opportunities, delivering proposals to clients and transform opportunities into signed contracts. For these purposes, you will collaborate closely with internal practice teams to ensure tailored solutions are offered and projects are delivered successfully.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Lead Sales Initiatives:
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive go-to-market strategy for Accounting and Billing solutions within the insurance industry.
  • Identify and qualify potential insurance clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Initiate, manage, and transform sales opportunities through all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Address requests for information (RFI) and requests for proposals (RFP) from potential clients.
  • Lead internal reviews to secure approvals and funding for proposals.
  • Solution Development and Proposal Delivery:
  • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting leads, solution architects, and delivery teams to develop and propose tailored solutions that address the specific needs of insurance clients in the areas of accounting and billing.
  • Proactively drive the delivery of proposals to clients, ensuring they are clear, concise, and compelling.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience across management consulting and Finance & Accounting, including Billing, in the Insurance industry.
  • Proven experience designing and selling managed services and consulting solutions in the mentioned domain.
  • Experience working in a professional services firm, preferably a leading management consulting firm, as extremely strong consulting skills are required, including:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively connect with clients at all levels, from C-suite executives to technical specialists.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify client needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and trust with clients.

Excellent negotiation and deal-shaping skills.

  • 8 years of experience in relevant insurance functions, including insurance F&A controllership (including Core Accounting, Close, Regulatory Reporting Statutory Reporting, Investment Accounting, Reserving, Insurance Accounting, Treasury Management), and Billing operations (including invoicing, account receivables review, collections, cash application, dispute management, customer service and reporting)
  • Industry expertise in US insurance markets, ideally across both Life & Annuity and Property & Casualty in the US
  • Understanding of processes relating to NAIC and SEC regulatory compliance for Insurance
  • Deep understanding of the key business drivers and challenges related to Finance & Accounting functions in the insurance industry, including across Credit to Cash, Accounts Payable, Record to Report, and FP&A.
  • Proven ability to manage the entire sales process, from the initial client presentation to proposal development and deal closure.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing end-to-end transformation projects in a client-facing role, with the ability to define, lead, and manage projects effectively.
  • Experience in designing global business services solutions, including in an outsourcing context.
  • Ability to engineer managed services solutions, including defining transformation and productivity savings targets.
