They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team and help us continue our tradition of excellence.

**Job Summary:**

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for excavation projects. This role requires a thorough understanding of excavation processes, materials, labor costs, and project management. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

- Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

- Conduct site visits to understand the project scope and constraints.

- Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.

- Prepare and present bid proposals for clients.

- Track and analyze project costs, making adjustments to estimates as necessary.

- Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates are aligned with project goals and schedules.

- Maintain a database of historical data to improve the accuracy of future estimates.

- Stay current with industry trends, materials, methods, and cost data.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an estimator in the construction or excavation industry.

- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, HeavyBid, HCSS).

- Strong understanding of excavation techniques, equipment, and materials.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
