Location: Phoenix, AZ, 85007 (Onsite / Hybrid / Remote))

12 Months Contract

Job Description:

Hybrid Position/Remote/Onsite for training 3-4 weeks (Varies) then 1x a week afterwards/may change based on needs of business

Position Description

  • The Instructional Designer is responsible for the development of an agency-wide training curriculum for delivery to Department employees.
  • This position designs, develops, implements, revises and evaluates courseware that meets both training industry and Department standards and any identified performance goals or business objectives. This position collaborates with Department leadership regarding employee training, development, and accomplishments, and coordinates computer-based training as needed, including outreach or special events.
  • This position identifies training needs on an ongoing basis through assessments, surveys, and meetings with work groups, consulting with systems business analysts and Department policy staff, and conducting interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs) on organizational requirements and performance measures.
  • Additionally, this position assesses the present and future needs to develop educational goals and objectives, initiate related curriculum, instructor guides, reports, and correspondence, and prepares audio and visual materials related to the assigned training areas. Instructional design theory and industry knowledge, group dynamics and facilitation; industry standards including distance learning technology; interpersonal relations; maintaining large volumes of information about complex programs; problem analysis, research, and resolution; reporting, organization, scheduling and/or tracking information; and using computer applications, such as Google Workspace.

Experience Required

Knowledge of industry standards and strong technology experience Camtasia, Captivate, Adobe Products, Snag-it 1-4 years experience

Education Required

High school Diploma Required
