Your Impact

As Axon’s Director of Global Financial Systems, General Ledger & Consolidations you will serve as a critical business partner to the Accounting Operations group supporting finance transformation. You will join a highly collaborative team supporting key initiatives including lean monthly close, the global consolidation closing and reporting process, and implementation of best in class reporting to support business partners improve day to day operations.

This role requires creative thinking, problem solving and strong leadership skills while working in a fast-paced, agile and collaborative environment. Leading and promoting, standardized, repeatable and efficient processes leveraging reliable data to problem solve and streamline new and existing processes.

What You'll Do

Location: Remotely from USA
Reports to: Senior Director, Corporate Accounting and Global Consolidations

  • A thought leader and change agent to our Accounting Operations and International controllership teams
  • Lead finance transformation activities across the Accounting Operations group, including implementation of consolidation tool and ERP enhancements
  • Strengthen internal controls throughout the accounting close process by enhancing automation and reporting across multiple financial systems and ERPs
  • Minimize the use of spreadsheets, pivoting to Power BI capabilities, including monthly KPI reporting to support the acceleration and quality of the accounting close and other key areas including AP, Inventory and Fixed asset reporting
  • Partner with FP&A and Revenue accounting team to leverage forecasting tools, allowing for real-time visibility of all financial statements throughout the accounting close cycle
  • Partner with IT to understand accounting impacts for process and functional changes to ERP logic
  • Design and review SOX related to financial systems and automation software (e.g., Blackline and BI reporting tools), including configuration changes
  • Responsible for chart of accounts related to security controls and cross validation rules
  • Co-lead M&A financial systems and ERP implementation and upgrade; develop and manage the creation of test strategy, test cases, test results, prioritization of defects and enhancements
  • Execute strong project governance through effective change management, delivery of regular status updates to stakeholders and leaders, and proactive identification and communication of project and operational risks to leadership and key stakeholders to mitigate and derisk
  • Partner with International controllership teams to streamline Statutory accounting processes, leveraging monthly GAAP closing and reporting
  • Establish and continuously improve business processes and procedures to drive scalability in a high growth environment
  • Support ad hoc controllership projects that arise due to Axon’s rapid growth

What You Bring

  • 8 years of relevant experience
  • BS or equivalent in accounting or finance
  • CPA, MBA or CISA is a plus
  • Manufacturing experience at complex and multi-national publicly traded companies
  • Relevant industry experience in a SaaS company is a plus
  • Knowledge and application of a Lean operating model
  • Experience with leading ERP and consolidation tool implementation/upgrade
  • Experience with Salesforce, D365, PowerBI and Microsoft Power Platform is a plus 
  • Experience with M&A integration is a plus
  • Obsessed with quality and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and technology skills

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 144,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 216,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
