As a FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN on the GENERATOR Field team, you'll manage a territory and be responsible to work with small to large enterprises and government agencies to service our full-scale business solutions and manage customer relations and expectations.

Position: FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN (FST)

Job Description:

Field Service Technician Generators

Responsible for overseeing a territory, troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance and performing start-ups on Generator equipment. Also responsible for managing customer relations and field expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Field service experience and knowledge of generator maintenance and repair on all brands of emergency standby and prime power applications of generators and automatic transfer switches. Knowledge and experience of electronic and mechanical components.

· Ability to diagnose and repair generators and automatic transfer switches.

· Strong understanding of electricity and how to make and distribute electrical power.

· Must have own mechanics tools and electrical meter. Company supplies all specialty tools, equipment, computer, phone, uniforms and work truck.

· Field Service Engineer must be able to use a laptop and have knowledge of excel and outlook. Must be able to use smart phone.

· Must be able to be a self starter and have experience managing a territory.

· Must be available to be on call when needed.

· Must be able to comply with company policies and standards of conduct as a manager.

· Must be able to conduct work in high stress situations and time restraints.

· Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds, have a strong work ethic and ability to work long hours. This position requires stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, standing or sitting for long periods of time and working in small work spaces. Must be able to work in loud environments and remain safe from dangers of working with machinery.

· Applicant needs to be a team player and work well with others.

· Must be authorized to work in the United States of America, have a clean driving record and pass a pre-employment background check to include drug screening and criminal history check.

RESPONSIBILITES

· The primary duties and responsibilities of this position are management. To manage a territory and perform inspections on customers’ generators. To manage customer expectations and interact with the customer in a professional and courteous manner.

· You will manage the overall health, reliability, and life cycle management for all of the customer generator sites within the zone you are assigned (service, repair, modify, diagnosis and rebuild).

· Must be able to keep a clean, professional appearance and keep work areas clean and free from clutter.

· Use excel program to fill out field reports in a timely manner. MDAT

· Assess and report urgency of all needed repairs as well as accurately identifying any and all defective parts to be ordered including part numbers, serial numbers and photos.

· The FST needs to be organized, keeping track of schedules and having the ability to work long hours including some nights, early mornings and weekends in any weather condition.

· Being able to troubleshoot and repair any issues with the generator and/or equipment that is used.

Pay: Competitive and commensurate with experience and skills. We are a performance based company and pay will ultimately reflect the employee’s productivity and overall performance.
