Aya Healthcare is hiring Patient Service Reps with experience in healthcare and medical office settings! This is a 13-week contract assignment with a dynamic health system in Pasadena, CA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shift: Must be available between 08:00 am- 5:00 pm

COVID-19: Vaccinations and Booster shot are required.

Onsite/in-person position

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with CS-Link/Epic or Allscripts EMR
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
• 2 year of recent experience working in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Ability to read, understand, and respond to detailed oral and written instructions
• 2 years of patient services, admitting, or medical receptionist experience in the healthcare field.

Job Duties:

• Primary point of contact for patient relations in person and by phone
• Greet patients and assist in resolving patient concerns and escalating as appropriate
• Check patients in/out and collect co-payments, give receipts, and reconcile payments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information in Allscripts
• Schedule appointments and complete patient registration
• Process and track referrals and authorizations for various insurance types
• Handle patient/provider correspondence
• Explains polices, procedures, or services to patients
• Sanitize workspace using provided supplies and following department guidelines
