People Operations Coordinator

Aypa Power, a Blackstone portfolio company, is a leading developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable projects that power our communities and cities. We have been at the forefront of energy storage development since our first energy storage project came online in 2018. As a leader in our industry, we now have over 22 GW of utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects in development and 33 projects in operation or construction across North America.

Aypa is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Austin. This role is essential in ensuring our People operations run seamlessly, supporting the smooth execution of daily tasks and contributing to a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and approach challenges with a proactive and adaptable mindset. By maintaining high standards and delivering precise support, this position will help drive Aypa's continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition and are set up for success from day one;
  • Maintain and update employee records with precision, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality at all times;
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of HR compliance documentation, helping the team stay aligned with legal requirements;
  • Coordinate the offboarding process, handling all related tasks to ensure a respectful and thorough transition for departing employees;
  • Support benefits administration by managing enrollment processes and addressing employee inquiries efficiently;
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement activities that enhance the workplace culture;
  • Handle a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, office supply management, and facilities coordination, to keep daily operations running smoothly;
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns, providing clear and timely information to maintain a positive employee experience;
  • Collaborate on payroll-related tasks, ensuring data is entered and processed accurately for timely payments;
  • Take on additional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting the team’s success;
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • 2-3 years of experience in an HR or People Ops role, preferably in a growth company or startup;
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred;
  • Proficiency in using HRIS and maintaining data integrity;
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently with high integrity and confidentiality;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Compensation and Location:

Salary: A base salary commensurate with experience;

Bonus: An annual bonus will be awarded based on individual performance and the overall success of the business;

Location: Hybrid (USA). Ability to work in the United States is a requirement. Preference is given to candidates located in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate;
