Are you ready to take on a key role in manufacturing order administration? Our client in South Elgin, IL is hiring a Manufacturing Order Administrator. You’ll receive comprehensive training to handle order entry, processing, estimating, process planning, and quality documentation. You’ll also serve as a liaison between the company and its customers to ensure efficient order management.
The company specializes in manufacturing and repairing babbitt bearings, seals, and related parts for various industries, including power generation, oil and gas, steel, aerospace, and marine. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and track orders throughout the manufacturing or repair process, providing feedback to customers.
- Prepare quotations and respond to customer inquiries.
- Plan manufacturing processes for new parts using the tracking system, while reviewing existing parts.
- Prepare documentation to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Act as the point of contact for customers regarding orders, quotes, and other related communications.
Pay: $20-$25/hour
Location: South Elgin, IL
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree or experience in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), basic mathematics, measuring instruments, blueprint reading, and machine shop knowledge.
- Experience or interest in project management related to parts manufacturing in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and communicate effectively with the production team.
