Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial concepts, account analysis, and governmental accounting. Salary: Salary will be based upon candidate's experience, and qualifications. The candidate's salary expectations are considered.

Duties:

Financial Planning

• Prepare yearly income projections.
• Prepare a yearly budget and track variances monthly.
• Perform cash flow forecasting.

Bookkeeping

• Manage the company’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets.
• Handle the company’s transactions and debts.
• Prepare monthly end close.
• Bank reconciliation for all bank accounts.
• Accounts receivable reconciliation.
• Maintain fixed assets depreciation schedules.
• Accounts payable reconciliation.
• Track revenue from different sources.

Financials

• Generate monthly and yearly financial reports based on data analysis for management review, such as balance sheet, Income statement, Comparative Income statement, Actual vs budget reports.
• Generate and update the WIP report.
• Track financial ratios per monthly.
• Track EBITDA monthly.
• Submit monthly and yearly financials to the CPA for review.
• Assist with year-end CPA review.

Job Costing

• Capture job cost expenses per project.
• Assist project managers with their budgets.
• Prepare a job cost report per project.
• Track the profitability of each project.

Payroll

• Track timesheets, leave request, change of status for employees.
• Keep in constant communication with our HR management company for new hires, terminations, change of statuses and unemployment notices.
• Track and maintain the 401K plan benefits.
• Track and maintain the health insurance benefits.
• Prepare reporting and pay the quarterly payroll taxes.
• Prepare the W-2’s and reports.

Taxes

• Track quarterly and yearly payroll taxes, property taxes, franchise tax, sales tax, and federal taxes.

Qualifications:

• Four-year degree in accounting/finance preferred. Related experience will be considered.
• Experience with cost analysis, budgets, and forecasts.
• The position requires a strong business sense combined with proficiency in accounting knowledge.
• Functions with minimum guidance and under pre-set procedures, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to handle and process sensitive information and manage potentially volatile and litigious situations.
• SAGE 300 experience preferred but not required.
• ProCore Financial Tools experience preferred but not required.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; results-oriented; able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
• Self-starter with initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
