Experience/Job Requirements
• Quality Inspector experience
• Experience with performing measurement inspections with calipers and other tools, not just visual inspection
• MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Computer proficiency (Epicor experience preferred)
• Able to work independently, multitask, and prioritize
• Technical knowledge reading and interpreting drawings and inspection standards
• Able to read, interpret, and follow SOPs, labels, instructions, specifications, reference materials
• Basic math abilities, knowledge of fractions and decimal conversions
• Communicate, maintain, and monitor quality and productivity standards
• Work with multiple departments in a manner that results in a positive, efficient, safe, and high-quality workplace
• Ability to determine critical points of inspection and working with very tight tolerances
• Manual dexterity required for operating various equipment
• Strict adherence to safety policies
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds repetitively
• ASQC-CQT (Certified Quality Technician) desirable
Other duties include:
• The incoming inspection of vendor-supplied manufactured sub-assemblies, the on-going inspection of work-in-progress, and the final inspection of manufactured assemblies prior to shipment of the end-user.
• Perform product preparation, dimensional inspection/testing according to written SOP’s, Work Instructions, and Test Procedures.
• Create and maintain written records and computer databases as required by SOP’s, Work Instructions, and Test Procedures.
• Oversee the calibration of facility and laboratory test, inspection, and control equipment, maintain Calibration records and database files, issue calibration recall notifications, arrange for subcontracted Calibrations, perform Equipment Calibration.
• Manage inspection procedures to ensure a quality product, maximizing output, minimizing waste, and increasing efficiencies.
• Caliper test will be issued to applicant prior to interview.
