SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
Works proactively under general supervision to support the conference and event center, at Arizona Western College. This position works to enhance business processes by supporting audio-visual technology needs at conferences, and events. This position is unique and requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serves Students. Provides Audio/visual technology support for AWC internal and external customer events, supports clients, and enhances events, at the Yuma Campus. May support multiple events per day.
Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots various equipment including but not limited to sound systems, soundboards, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting, broadcasting, livestreaming, social media, and other platforms and trends.
Basic functional support of computers used at events, including but not limited to the display of videos, images, and PowerPoints. Knowledge of computers and troubleshooting skills necessary for a variety of technical equipment to support events.
Works with conference and event staff to understand business processes, develops productive relationships with clients, and proactively seeks ways of providing added value to customers. Responsible for accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment based on event needs.
Accepts and is responsible for audio-visual equipment technology and its use in the conference and events center, and other areas on the Yuma campus. Conducts Inventory, lifecycle, repairs, and preventative maintenance schedules and offers suggestions to the Conference and Events Director.
Assign events and responsibilities to part-time or other AV staff. Helps coordinate workload with part-time employees to accommodate customer and event needs.
Coordinates with technology department and staff, as needed, for equipment issues and upgrades. Proactively seeks to develop a better understanding of technology solutions used to support Conferences and Events.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
