Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Program Manager to oversee and manage all contract personnel for our government project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a task lead or project manager, with substantial experience in help desk or system support roles. This role requires strong leadership abilities, project management expertise, and excellent communication skills to ensure the successful execution of contract deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all contract personnel, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Oversee the execution of tasks and activities, ensuring that they meet the requirements of government task orders and contractual obligations.
- Provide guidance and support to contract staff, fostering a collaborative environment and addressing any performance or operational issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, internal teams, and contract personnel. Ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports, project updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all activities are compliant with government regulations, contractual terms, and company policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a task lead or project manager on government task orders.
- At least 5 years of help desk or system support experience is preferred.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in managing projects and leading teams effectively.
- PMP certification required or obtained within 12 months of the start date.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide contract personnel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Desired Skills
- Additional project management or leadership certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)
- In-depth understanding of government contracting processes and regulations.
- Familiarity with help desk systems and IT support processes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and implement effective resolutions.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
