Ready to be part of something special? Join our Family! Packaging Machine Operator Job Description: This position is located in our Yadkinville, NC Facility. We offer a shift differential premium. We are looking to recruit for day and night shifts (12 hours) responsible candidate to ensure that the quality and quantity of packaged goods follows company standards. Day Shift: 6:30am-6:30pm Night Shift: 6:30pm-6:30am Responsibilities: Handles start-up and shut-down duties relating to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift Checks that each packaging machine is in good repair and works in accordance to regulations set by the company Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order Monitors correct product weights and ensure that they are maintained throughout the shift Handle/discard waste that packaging machines produce; in a safe manner Monitor packaging machines by using appropriate controls to package different items Load and unload items into packaging machines and remove rejected packages Follow all GMP’s and Safety Procedures May perform other duties as assigned Experience, Skills, Education: Packaging Machine Experience Preferred Effective Communication Skills Demonstrated Organizational Skills Good Math Skills Reading/Comprehension Abilities Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities Ability to Work Independently Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly Equal Employment Opportunity: B&G Foods is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
