Job Overview:
The Creative Designer produces visual content, illustrations, and assigns product and stock imagery to related written content on B&H’s Explora site as well as select other customer-facing sections of the B&H website. Creative Designers are charged with setting text and adding visual elements to articles, announcements, and other forms of creative text on the B&H site as well as researching and sourcing imagery and producing original composites or illustrations to complement text.
Creative Designers should have a working knowledge of B&H’s core product categories (Photography, Video, Pro Audio, Computers, and Home Entertainment) and have the ability to recognize products from these categories and source appropriate visual content to match the tone and specificity of the writing. They should be familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud applications as well as have a working knowledge of project management and content management systems.
Creative Designers are responsible for setting text for articles, inserting imagery, researching and sourcing imagery, and creating visual composites to complement a variety of article styles. They are responsible for the visual content on general articles, buying guides, and product announcements.
The Creative Designer’s work should strive to empower B&H customers to make informed decisions through accurate, meaningful, and engaging content.
Essential Responsibilities:

• Illustrates and inserts imagery to match creative writing on B&H website
• Sets text and lays out announcements, guides, and other article-based content
• Organizes and prioritizes assigned tasks based on internal guidelines
• Responds to update requests to correct or modify articles
• Stays informed on current market trends and technologies

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g.Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Familiarity with Drupal or other CMS preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with B&H’s core product categories

Preferred Education, Experience, and Licenses:
Minimum 2-4 years creating original designs and visual content in relevant categories and/or working in a related field
