The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, generating sales, and maintaining the store's cleanliness and orderliness. This role involves assisting customers in finding the right products for their plumbing, electrical, and HVAC needs, offering expert advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs.

Assist customers in locating products and provide information on product features.

Answer customer inquiries about products, pricing, and availability.

Handle customer complaints and returns in a courteous and professional manner.

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's POS system.

Product Knowledge:

Stay informed about the latest products and industry trends in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC supplies.

Educate customers on product usage, installation, and maintenance.

Inventory Management:

Assist in receiving and stocking inventory.

Ensure shelves and displays are well-stocked and organized.

Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to the manager.

Store Maintenance:

Maintain the store's cleanliness and orderliness.

Organize product displays and ensure proper signage.

Assist in setting up promotional displays.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to achieve common goals.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a plumbing, electrical, or HVAC supply store.

Skills:

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC products.

Ability to operate a POS system.

Good organizational and multitasking abilities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds). Ability to climb ladders and reach high shelves.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a retail store environment. Required to work some weekends.
