Position OverviewB&T USA is seeking a Controller to join our Team. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment and will be responsible for overseeing financial statements, managing accounting close procedures, supervising the accounting team, and providing accounting support to the CFO.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the accounting function to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.
- Prepare commission reports.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Perform monthly and quarterly filing of state sales taxes.
- Prepare annual tangible personal property tax returns.
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Prepare financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Assist with the annual external audit.
- Assess internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
- Assist upper management in identifying areas to reduce costs and liabilities.
- Review financial statements to assess the company’s financial health.
- Work with accounting team, as needed, to resolve issues.
- Special projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 5 or more years of public accounting experience required. Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP required.
- Knowledge of Fishbowl ERP inventory software preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident working independently using initiatives to guide through challenges.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Industry preferred.
- Work performed primarily in an office environment.
- Must be able to access and navigate B&T’s facilities.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop or crouch.
