About this role: The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Human Resources, Diverse Segments Representation and Inclusion, Legal, and Public Affairs business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Workforce experience & Productivity Solutions (WXPS). This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed. Within EFT we are seeing a Risk and Compliance Director (Business Accountability Director) to lead and manage compliance and risk mitigation efforts across EFT products and services. The Risk and Compliance Director will be accountable to ensure product offerings are compliant, secure, and resilient enabling Wells Fargo to do business seamlessly. This leader will ensure consistency in control design and risk management and partner with EFT leaders, product managers, engineering executives, and critical line 2 (compliance and legal) and line 3 (audit, risk) organizations to ensure secure and resilient products in alignment with Wells Fargo standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. This leader will engage and partner with the Technology controls executive and provide leadership and direction to EFT leadership to ensure that processes and procedures are in place to effectively monitor and manage EFT related risks. This leader will design, develop, and manage a coherent organization of all risk elements and ensure consistency in the aggregation of risks, audits, compliance, and regulatory processes. Accountable to proactively identify and manage emerging risk that stems from technology activities. This leader will manage internal and external response to audit and risk, and drive solutions and initiatives that proactively identify and ensure risks associated with EFT products and services are managed effectively to achieve timely resolution. In this role, you will: Planning and strategic management: Architect and build a strategic framework and plan for the holistic management of EFT risks, controls, compliance requirements, audits, and regulatory requirements that drives an initiative-taking approach for stable, resilient, and secure solutions that meet the needs of the Wells Fargo workforces while ensuring risk and compliance are sound Provides direction and guidance to EFT product managers, Technology executives, delivery and operations teams and designs processes to address strategic, operational, financial, and regulatory risk Ensures strategic plans and initiatives align to standards, policies, and regulatory requirements, collaborate with appropriate risk partners and audit to proactively drive change, or identify opportunities to ensure secure and resilient products and services that meet customer needs while protecting Wells Fargo’s business, customers, and shareholders Stays abreast of industry regulatory developments; keeps senior management apprised of changes and developments proactively with appropriate stakeholders to enable on-time delivery Management and gap closure: Ensures effective identification, tracking, monitoring and resolution of all risks associated with EFT products and services, collaborating with product managers/owners, risk partners, legal, and Technology executives and stakeholders Collaborate with the frontline and controls team to oversee first line of defense controls, risk programs and frameworks for EFT Leads delivery of risk-related updates, decisions, and materials for major initiatives as appropriate, including regulatory exams, audits, project activities, strategic activities, and large system forward/process improvements Provides direction and guidance for development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s third-party supplier control framework Manages the collective closure of EFT vulnerabilities and exceptions across the estate, inclusive of reporting and partnership with operations, engineering, risk partners, and product to prioritize criticality Stakeholder engagement: Develops and maintains relationships with cross-functional key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of risk-related needs in alignment with EFT products and services Coordinates any requests from control partners (e.g., Audit and Independent Risk Management), and external examiners Supports and engages as appropriate in discussions with relevant parties including responses to risk-related actions. Develops and recommends action plans for initiatives that have external impact Escalates concerns and issues to senior executive leadership, independent risk management, management committees and the board as appropriate Ensures third-party vendors are addressing risks, exceptions, and regulatory commitments timely Monitoring and reporting: Establishes and monitors key performance and risk indicators/metrics for EFT, aligned to Enterprise guidance Responsible for developing, tracking, and reporting on key initiatives and issues Develops necessary materials and drives discussions in internal meeting with controls, technology, Independent Risk Management (IRM)and audit executive forums Continuous improvement: Proactively reviews current state and process improvement designs to ensure WXPS risks are mitigated, and new risks are minimized, unless plan to address is documented and executed Develop necessary instrumentation and data needed to continually improve overall transparency around status, and performance Required Qualifications: 8 years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 4 years of Management experience 7 years demonstrated proficiency in internal and external audits and experience or exposure collaborating with auditors and risk 4 years of financial services industry experience Desired Qualifications: 10 years of financial servicing experience with a focus on technology, operations, or risk management. Risk governance experience in banking industry Bachelor’s degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) Demonstrated proficiency in internal and external audits and experience or exposure collaborating with auditors and external parties 5 years demonstrated ability to successfully navigate and operate across multiple level of the organization Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions, and managing work to achieve strategic goals Executive level business acumen in technology/industry best practices and emerging trends Strong knowledge of industry/related regulatory requirements and operational risk concepts Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate and operate across multiple level of the organization Experience in successfully managing complex strategic programs/projects through project lifecycle from conception through roll-out and ongoing support in a large organization CISA /CISSP certification Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions Experience in managing on-shore and off-shore teams Job Expectations: This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship Ability to travel up to 15% Pay Range $173,300.00 - $359,900.00 Benefits Wells Fargo provides all eligible full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their physical and financial health and to help them make the most of their financial future.
