Job Role and Responsibility: Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Wholesale Automation and Control Technology Group is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to determine technical strategy and direction; identify skill development opportunities; work with other technology teams across the enterprise to ensure common direction and compliance; research and provide guidance on new and emerging technologies and architectural standards; support all aspects of application design, development, implementation and maintenance; participate in creating project, application and support documentation; primary point of escalation for any task or technical issues encountered by the application development team; provide guidance and direction on production issues; act in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives; utilize a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs; plan, perform, and act as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing; act as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process; work closely with Business Partners, Business Analysts and Developers to design and develop application solutions that are secure, reliable and reusable components; work within a team environment to help solve complex business requirements while utilizing enterprise and industry best practices; work in coordination with our QA team to ensure all application code is defect free before being deployed to production environments; ensure quality, security and compliance requirements are met as part of application development activities; work in an agile application development life cycle with deployments to production every three weeks; and provide 24 x 7 application support on a rotating schedule.
